Why an ePub?
And how to read reflowable EPUB books
- You can read these ePub files on any device: smartphone, tablet, or desktop, with any ebook app/reader (except Kindle which only reads Amazon’s .mobi files—these Guides also look better on a colour-enabled screen, rather than real-ink dedicated eReader devices in b&w.)
- Text is resizable, and some ePub apps offer features such as white text on black, or sepia backgrounds, a small choice of fonts, and searchability.
- In Apple’s Books app, you can also highlight text, mark pages and make notes.
For MacOS, iPad, & iPhone:
Save the ePub version to the Books app; or Kobo ebook reading apps for all devices
(‘Contents’ menu is in the usual hamburger-icon after tapping the top of the screen.)
For Windows:
Read with Adobe Digital Editions, Calibre, Freda, the Kobo apps … (all free).
